Our Story
The idea for a school of ministry was born out of Pastor Tim Oldfield’s heart to see sons and daughters of the church raised up to serve and for ministers to be trained without the burden of exorbitant expense. Through great prayer and effort of the planning team, The Potter's House School of Ministry began formal operation in the fall of 2016.
Our Unique Design
PHSM is unique from most seminaries and bible colleges because of its comprehensive approach to raising up leaders. Where some programs only offer training and internships, PHSM provides a much broader scope of development. Where seminaries provide academic rigor and practice of rituals, PHSM also promotes wholeness, character, and integrity as well as sound spiritual formation.

YEAR ONE // TASTE AND SEE // A YEAR OF BIBLICAL FORMATION
Enter a process that is all about identity and purpose as a son or daughter of God. Come explore God’s Word, and discover the depths of who God is; His divine purpose, and who you are in Christ, as revealed in Scripture!
YEAR TWO // RECEIVE AND BELIEVE // A YEAR OF INTENSE INSTRUCTION
Continue the journey, by developing a holistic view of God’s heart for healthy families and communities. On the foundation of year one, discover that all are called to serve Him by serving others, and then apply what you are learning in your spheres of influence.
YEAR THREE // BECOME AND ADVANCE // A YEAR OF TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Conclude this journey with opportunities to grow as a leader and work hands-on, refining your skills and abilities. This amazing process will hone vision, clarify call, and equip you to advance according to God’s divine design for your life.

DISCOVERING YOUR IDENTITY
You will learn, grow, and be equipped to manifest the fullness of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit as you advance the Kingdom of God in your spheres of influence. You will also 1) develop a solid biblical foundation including a kingdom paradigm; 2) are being healed, made whole and developing good character; and 3) That they have a nurturing environment to discover and develop their gifts and call. 4) Develop the understanding that the Kingdom of God is both a future hope and a very present reality to be accessed now while preparing a bride prepared for her Bridegroom
PROSPECTUS
Students will fall in love with God as Father and experience His love for them as His children. By gaining an understanding of their identity in Christ, they will learn that their value and purpose rests in being co-heirs with Christ. Students will be introduced to the big picture reality of God’s Kingdom and learn how to live from a Kingdom Paradigm (in the present age and ushering in the one to come).
Meet Our Faculty
The PHSM faculty brings years of teaching and ministry experience to the table. Our instructors and staff have a wide range of teaching and leading experience and have taught at all levels of Christian education. It is from these experiences and with the partnership of Holy Spirit that our teaching staff has built the curriculum and comprehensive experience. Each class, its content and practical application is the result of prayer, fasting and seeking the face of God. With passion, love and joy, USOM teachers are looking forward to not only pointing you toward the full knowledge of Christ but also sharing their very lives and wisdom with each of the PHSM students.
Tim Oldfield // Overseer
Tim Oldfield, Ohio native, has almost 40 years of ministerial experience serving the Master as evangelist and pastor. For the past 28 years, he has lead the Potter’s House Church in Columbus, Ohio, serving as its senior pastor. Under Pastor Oldfield’s leadership, The Potter’s House has become an international church with multiple campuses and is considered a leading cutting-edge church with a passion for people. During his years of pastoral ministry, he has served on numerous state and national boards and presently serves on the Church of God International Executive Council. In addition to ministry in Ohio, Pastor Oldfield is frequently a featured conference speaker, nationally and internationally known. He recently authored his first book, Shadowing Jesus, Discovering Discipleship.
Ben Geiser // PHSM Director
Benjamin Geiser is the Potter's House School of Ministry Director (PHSM) at the Potter’s House Church of God in Columbus, Ohio where he also serves as the Senior Adult Legacy Pastor. Pastor Ben has an unwavering passion to see the kingdom of God released in and through the children of God. Desiring that all believers would know their true identity in Jesus Christ and fulfill the kingdom calling that God has placed on their lives. Pastor Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Theology with a minor in Biblical Counseling from Ohio Christian University. He has ministered as an ordained pastor for 30 plus years. Ben and his wife Lisa we’re married in 1991 and have been blessed by the Lord with four beautiful daughters and one son in law who are all serving the Lord, Moriah (her husband Cory), Olivia, Hannah, and Monica.
Stephanie Jackson // Administrator
Stephanie Jackson is a Pilot Graduate of the Potter's House School of Ministry. She has experienced the fullness of this opportunity where her gifts have been revealed, honed, and put into practice both in the world and in the Body. Her passions are leading others into a deeper revelation of the love of God, their
positions as sons and daughters of the Kingdom, and they’re connecting the dots of their lives as they see God’s handiwork in the tapestry of their lives. Stephanie is also passionate about seeing the Body of
Christ united in answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17 to His Father “that they may be one as we are one.”
Stephanie lives in Columbus and is mother to 3 adult daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons.
