2021 PHSW Schedule

ORIENTATION

Friday, June 4th

7 pm

On Friday, June 4th at 7p, you will have a chance to meet your classmates, worship leaders and instructors.  On this night we will go through every detail of the Potter's House School of Worship and spend time worshipping and praying over each student in preparation for the upcoming three months.

You will receive your books for your mandatory reading, instructions for online participation, detailed schedule information and much more. 

WORTHINESS OF JESUS

Saturday, June 5th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "The Worthiness of Jesus".

Our first "why" is Jesus.  He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the one that our eyes should be fixed on, during worship and every day of our lives. We will spend time looking at biblical descriptions of Jesus, gain practical steps to be more intentional in fixing our eyes on Him and simply be reminded that He is the worthy lamb. 

UNDERSTANDING YOUR CALL

Saturday, June 12th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Understanding Your Call".

In this class we will not focus on the idea of career, passion or life destiny.  Instead, we will focus on the call that each and everyone of us have...to lay our lives down in surrender to the one who laid His life down for us.  Understanding your call is much more about your obedience an intentionally positioned life.  We will discuss the reality of position and posture. 

LIFESTYLE OF WORSHIP

Saturday, June 19th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Lifestyle of Worship".

After we have established the "call" of our lives, we will dive into the practicals of living that out.  Discovering how each and everyday can be lived louder that any song could be sung.  While we love and fully dive into worship in music, we fully embrace that scripture teaches us that relationship and the, seemingly, mundane things of life can be the most beautiful worship to our Savior.  We will then talk about how all of these things affect our ability to present pure worship as we live and as we lead.

STEWARDING THE GIFT

Saturday, June 26th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Stewarding Your Gift".

We have been given gifts and talents...each and everyone of us.  It is important to realize that there is a process in being anointed...a crushing.  There is so much value in protecting what is precious and identifying what is precious in our lives.  We look to the parable of the talents to see the importance of getting this right.  In this class we will talk about practically and spiritually stewarding what God has given us.

TABERNACLE OF DAVID

Saturday, July 3rd

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "The Tabernacle of David".

Why is this important? Be cause there are so many revelatory things found in this story and so many points that can help us walk in the fullness of our worship lives.  We will explore the practices and dive into the special things that happened in the tabernacle of David.

WORSHIP AND THE PROPHETIC

Saturday, July 10th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Worship and the Prophetic".

What is God saying?  Not just over you, but over your church, your family and through your worship?  We believe that worship is simply prayer that has been put to melody.  We also believe that you have the authority and the ability to prophecy and declare things in your.  In this class we will hone in on learning to hear God's voice and growing in boldness to simply declare what He is speaking in our homes, over our congregations and our lives.

CULTIVATING A COMMUNITY OF WORSHIPPERS

Saturday, July 17th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Cultivating A Community of Worshippers".

One of the most precious and invaluable gifts that God has given us is the gift of community.  How do we grow our community?  How do we connect ourselves with others who stand on the word of. God? How does community affect my worship?  Stories and relationships are so critical to our ability to lift a pure and genuine praise. In this class, we will look at how our relationships can elevate or hinder our worship.

HARP AND BOWL WORSHIP

Saturday, July 24th

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Harp and Bowl Worship".

Revelation 5:8 will be our launching pad into this discussion.  In this class we will discover how important and "beyond this moment" our worship is and can be. We will  talk about the practicals of growing and creating an environment of harp and bowl worship and what role it should play in our worship and church life.

THE FLOW OF WORSHIP

Saturday, July 31st

9a-12p

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "The Flow of Worship".

Once we understand that God is always speaking, we understand how that affects our worship in leading and in private.  How do songs help us flow in worship?  How do we take what God is saying and work it into our worship time or alone worship.  Flow is vitally important.  It can and will affect the power of your time of worship and will always be grounded and rooted in obedience. 

COMMISSIONING/WORSHIP NIGHT

Sunday, August 8th

6p

For our last week, we will spend time in worship and prayer over what God has shown you and the encounters that you have had with Him.  Our heart on these worship nights is to do nothing more than touch the heart of God. 

HARP AND BOWL WORSHIP

We will spend time in prayer and worship from 9-10:30a.  After that we will head to the class room to discuss the topic, "Harp and Bowl Worship".
